The purpose of this role is to support the onboarding and integration of AI tools within the firm and contribute to the development of practical, efficient, and responsible AI use cases in legal workflows. The intern will gain hands-on experience at the intersection of law, technology, and innovation, contributing to real-life AI projects while developing an understanding of how legal services are evolving through technology.

We are currently offering an internship starting from September 2026. This internship role is for a fixed term of minimum 6 months.

Main duties and responsibilities

Legal Workflow Analysis & AI Enablement

  • Understand, map, and analyze legal workflows across practice areas
  • Identify opportunities where AI can improve efficiency, quality, or consistency
  • Support the translation of legal processes into AI-assisted workflows

Prompt Engineering & Knowledge Structuring

  • Design, test, and refine prompts for legal use cases
  • Prepare structured, reusable prompt templates
  • Maintain and continuously improve a dynamic prompt library aligned with firm needs and best practices

AI Tools & Agent Development

  • Contribute to the design of AI agents supporting legal workflows
  • Assist in defining requirements and use cases for AI-driven solutions
  • Support experimentation with legal AI tools and platforms

Legal Tech Research & Market Intelligence

  • Conduct research on legal technology trends, tools, and best practices
  • Analyze how AI is used by legal service providers and law firms
  • Produce concise insights and recommendations for internal stakeholders

Project Management Support

  • Support the development lifecycle of legal AI tools and initiatives
  • Assist in planning, tracking, and documenting project progress
  • Coordinate inputs from different stakeholders (lawyers, IT, knowledge teams)

Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Test AI tools and use cases for accuracy, usability, and compliance
  • Identify risks, limitations, and areas for improvement
  • Contribute to validation processes ensuring reliable and safe outputs

Documentation & Responsible AI Use

  • Assist in preparing and maintaining end-user documentation
  • Contribute to guidelines for safe, ethical, and risk-aware use of AI tools
  • Support the creation of training and onboarding materials

Legal Monitoring & Data Dashboards

  • Contribute to building dashboards tracking legislation, case law, and legal news
  • Support structuring legal data for AI-assisted monitoring
  • Help improve accessibility and usability of legal information

About You

  • Strong interest in AI, legal tech, and innovation in legal services
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Law, Legal Tech, Data/Information Science, or a related field
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to understand and structure complex processes
  • Curiosity and willingness to experiment with emerging technologies
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English (French is an advantage)
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office; familiarity with AI tools or coding concepts is a plus
  • Interest in prompt engineering, automation, or workflow design is highly desirable
