ROLE DESCRIPTION
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the System Architecture Team (SYA) or the Solutions Engineering Team (SOE) in a fast-paced, growing organization within a dynamic industry.
Based in Betzdorf, Luxembourg, you will contribute to implement network and IT infrastructures for Quantum Communication tests and demonstration towards SES Customers.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work together with the SYA (System Architecture) and SOE (Solution Engineering) teams in defining the architecture of on-premise IT infrastructure.
- Implement the architecture defined through configuration of networking equipment’s (switch and firewalls), installation of hypervisor on Linux, creation of Virtual Machines
- Implement Virtual Machine templates hardened out of CIS benchmark recommendations
- Support SYA and SOE team in the implementation of demonstration, including cabling of network devices, assisting performance test
- Assist team in implementation of production environment and in tests of alternative network/VSAT technologies
- Improve and update internal team engineering knowledge by presenting result of analysis
- Provide other ad-hoc technical support for other teams
YOUR PROFILE
1.You must have
- Current student in Information Technology
- Strong computer literacy (network, Linux system, Windows environment).
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
- Able to work in Luxembourg (EU-citizenship or valid work permit for Luxembourg).
2. It would be nice if you had
- Strong interest in the global technology, media, and telecom business and satellite communications in particular
- Know-how to configure network equipment (switch, firewall), and install server and virtual machines
