Intern - Logistics, Satellite Manufacturing

Contract Type: Internship – 6 months


ROLE DESCRIPTION

As an Intern in Logistics, you will support the coordination and execution of material flow activities that enable satellite production. Working closely with logistics, supply chain, and production teams, you will gain hands-on experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, and material handling processes within a high-reliability manufacturing environment.

This internship is designed to provide practical exposure to end-to-end logistics operations, including inbound deliveries, internal material flow, storage, and outbound shipments, while ensuring compliance with industry standards and operational requirements.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the guidance of experienced logistics professionals, you will:

  • Support day-to-day logistics operations, including material receipt, storage, picking, and internal distribution
  • Assist in ensuring timely material availability to production in alignment with manufacturing schedules
  • Help maintain inventory accuracy by supporting stock checks, cycle counts, and system updates
  • Contribute to warehouse organization, space utilization, and material handling best practices
  • Assist in coordinating shipments, transportation activities, and documentation with logistics partners and suppliers
  • Support the preparation and verification of shipping and customs documentation
  • Help ensure proper material traceability within inventory management or MES systems
  • Assist in handling non-conforming materials in coordination with quality and engineering teams
  • Participate in documentation and improvement of logistics processes, work instructions, and standards
  • Support compliance with safety, ESD, cleanroom, and hazardous material handling guidelines
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing logistics efficiency and reliability

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Currently pursuing or recently completing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong interest in logistics, warehouse operations, or production supply in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Basic understanding of supply chain and inventory management concepts is a plus
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); exposure to ERP or inventory systems is an advantage
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to work in a structured, fast-paced, and team-oriented environment
  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative

OTHER KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Willingness to work on-site in warehouse and production environments
  • Interest in working in controlled environments (e.g., ESD or cleanroom) is an advantage
  • Basic understanding of safety practices in industrial environments is a plus
