What’s the role?
Gen II Management Company (Luxembourg) SARL, a CSSF supervised UCITS management company, AIFM and EuVECA manager, is seeking an intern to join our Compliance team! This is a 6-month internship opportunity, reporting directly into the department head and will support the team to ensure compliance in all business areas.
What you’ll be doing
- Support to the conduct of the CMP, including scoping, guiding the different departments to ensure compliance until closure of open points
- Support to the maintenance of the manual of procedures
- Drafting of reports to the regulator, to the board and executive management
- Support to the regulatory watch and being ahead of upcoming regulation
- Guide business and clients in regulatory projects including gap analyses related to investment funds or Gen II
- Be part of the escalation process for AML matters including AML on assets, maintain the AML policy up to date and participate in updating the AML risk assessment and AML risk appetite statement
- Oversee and guide the oversight department with the conduct of due diligences on clients / their service providers / fund structures during the onboarding phase and on an ongoing basis
- Support to the controls over the risks of the company including the operational risks
The ideal background for this role:
- A university degree in Law or Audit
- Interest in conducting compliance monitoring plan reviews, risk assessments, driving regulatory projects
- Compliance/AML certification would be an asset
- Excellent understanding and knowledge of European and Luxembourg compliance and AML/CFT related regulation applicable to IFMs and its funds under management (including unregulated funds) and market practices
- IT skills (MS Office, Excel, Sharepoint, etc.)
- Proficiency in English written and spoken
- Any other European language would be an asset

Role Location/Hybrid Schedule
This role is based in our Luxembourg office. Although the nature of most of the roles within Gen II cannot be classed as totally flexible, there is scope in some cases for a form of Agile Working. The different ways in which Agile Working can be undertaken is dependent on the demands and needs of the business, the office space available and the individual’s preferences and circumstances.
