YOUR MISSION:

Yuri Lux GmbH is looking to add an Electrical Engineering Intern (all genders) to its ScienceTaxi BioForge Team. This position will be focused on helping the team with the product manufacturing, assembly, integration and testing the electrical system under the guidance of more senior engineers. As a team member, you will work cross-functionally with members of other discipline to ensure the completion of visions and timelines set by the project. During your internship, you will gain experience in working with a professional team, working in an agile development environment.

Ideal starting date: January 2026

YOUR TASKS:

The following tasks and responsibilities will be part of your role:


  • Support the assembly, integration and tests of electromechanical hardware used for microgravity experiments.
  • Help with the manufacturing of harness.
  • Support writing and execution of test procedures and reports.
  • Partially responsible for organizing laboratory tools, parts, and components.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to achieve the best performance for the overall system.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Experience in related fields.
  • Experience with electrical systems.
  • Experience with integration and testing of electrical systems.
  • Degree in engineering or related.
  • Willingness to learn and be part of a development team.
  • Not afraid of using tools (hammer, drill, file, milling machine…) for small adjustments.
  • Get things done personality.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Adaptable to high levels of uncertainty.
  • Practical mindset with a focus on execution.
  • Low ego and empathetic toward colleagues.
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English.
  • Familiarity with space standards is a plus, especially ECSS and SSP.
  • Knowledge of SolidWorks or similar is a plus.
  • Proficiency in German is a plus.
