Within the R&D Materials & Coating Technologies team, we are looking for an intern for 6 months or more. Depending on the progress of the internship, additional assignments may be added.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Involvement on innovative research projects for new cutting tools with a focus towards sustainability, e.g. for example by adapting process parameters in sintering furnaces, coating processes or developing new substrate materials …
Execution of trials, analyses in the lab and/or production with subsequent evaluation
Frequent changes between the theoretical technical side in the office and practical implementation in production
Support for R&D engineers in their daily work
Preparation of technical documentation and presentations
PROFILE AND REQUIREMENTS
Being enrolled in Bachelor / Master in Mechanical Engineering, Material sciences, Business Engineering with focus on Mechanical engineering, Materials science or similar
Languages : Speaking fluently English and either basic German or French. Any other language is an asset.
Knowledge in the field of cemented carbides & coatings is an asset
Good MS Office skills
Willing to perform hands on lab activities
Ability to think outside the box, problem solving & communication skills. Independent working method and analytical way of thinking
