Deloitte Luxembourg's Audit & Assurance practice is actively growing its Sustainability & Specialized Assurance team to help organizations navigate, manage and report on their sustainability performance with quality and rigor. As a Junior ESG Assurance professional, you will contribute to sustainability assurance and advisory engagements for Luxembourgish and international clients, supporting the delivery of high-quality work across a range of regulatory frameworks. You will help ensure the reliability and consistency of sustainability information disclosed in clients' annual and sustainability reports, under the guidance of experienced senior colleagues.

How you'll contribute to our success


No two days are the same. Here's an overview of the responsibilities you can expect:

  • Support audit‑readiness and assurance of sustainability disclosures under key regulations such as SFDR (including SFDR 2.0), EU Taxonomy and CSRD/ESRS
  • Apply Deloitte’s ESG assurance methodology (aligned with ISAE 3000 and ISSA 5000) to assess governance, strategy, double materiality, EU Taxonomy eligibility/alignment and ESG data flows and controls, including testing key ESG indicators and data quality
  • Contribute to clear and structured deliverables (reports, management letters, presentations and assurance documentation), formalizing approach, procedures and conclusions for areas under your responsibility
  • Support ESG advisory missions (e.g., Article 8 and 9 fund strategies, SFDR reporting, gap assessments, ESG reporting tools and EU Taxonomy disclosures) and collaborate with other Audit & Assurance teams on related engagements
  • Assist with proposals, regulatory and market monitoring, research, studies and internal projects, actively participating in team life and knowledge‑sharing to further develop Deloitte’s ESG assurance offering

Your skills


Must have

  • Master’s degree in sustainability, economics, finance, accounting or a similar field
  • Foundational knowledge of key European sustainability reporting regulations (e.g., CSRD, ESRS, SFDR, EU Taxonomy)
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work with quantitative and qualitative data

Nice to have


  • Initial experience or internships in audit, assurance or sustainability reporting
  • Familiarity with voluntary sustainability frameworks (e.g., UN SDGs, GRI, TCFD, TNFD, UN PRI)
  • Additional languages, particularly Luxembourgish or French
