Telecommunication Engineering Intern

We are seeking a motivated Telecommunication engineering intern or working student to join our team
in Luxembourg. In this role, you will actively contribute to the simulating, testing, and verification of the
spacecraft transponder, as well as assist in its development.

Your tasks

During the internship, you will:

  • Familiarize with transponder detailed digital design tailored for various space missions
  • Assist the mixed-signal team with testing, troubleshooting, and development

Additionally, you may:

  • Contribute to evaluating the RF channel behavior in combination with the S/C transponder
  • Assist the subsystem leads in various other types of engineering tasks.

Essential characteristics

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Telecommunication engineering or related field.
  • Familiarity with lab equipment (spectrum analyzer, arbitrary wave generator, and vector network
analyzer).
  • Excellent fundamental RF technique knowledge
  • Digital communication experience is a plus (modulation schemes, error correction methods)
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written (all day-to-day activities are performed in English).

Strongly valued characteristics

  • Prior experience with MATLAB, Simulink, and Spice(NASA NAIF).
  • Familiarity with mixed-signal electronics systems.
  • Prior experience with RF measurements.
  • A positive and self-driven attitude. Capability of working independently when required.

Duty station and contract type

This is a 6-month internship or working student position located full-time in Belval, Luxembourg.
